Water heaters often work perfectly for a decade or more without any care, so they’re easy to neglect. But a few minutes of water heater maintenance once a year pays off by extending the tank’s life span and maintaining your water heater’s efficiency and safety
Flushing your hot water heater could be necessary as often as every few months depending on the mineral content of your local water supply.
If not regularly flushed, your water heater can corrode more quickly. The sediment can also block or clog the pressure and relief valve (which helps keep your water heater from exploding).
During a repair appointment, which includes a diagnostic fee, we will examine your water heater, recommend any repairs, and give you a quote. At that point you may continue with the repairs, decline the repairs, or replace your water heater completely. Often the decision to repair or replace comes down to the age and overall condition of the existing water heater.
